Active Kids Wales works with parents to organise and run events for both children and young adults. Far from being simple entertainers Active Kids Wales seeks to promote the following values through its activities:
"Learning through play"
As well as being fun and engaging many of our activities and events are designed to promote learning and encourage the development of important life skills such as teamwork, independence, confidence and self control.
"Respect for the Environment"
Active Kids Wales works in co-operation with Wilderness Farm and the majority of our events are held at their site (www.wildernessfarm.co.uk). Wilderness farm is dedicated to protecting and preserving the local wildlife and works with numerous animal and environmental organisations as a release centre for wildlife such as badgers, foxes, polecats and fallow deer.
With an aim to promoting these very same issues Active Kids Wales runs workshops and events designed to promote awareness of environmental and conservation issues within the local area.
"Play Fit"
Above all else Active Kids is about having fun in as energetic a way as possible. For most of us, gone are the days when children spend all waking hours exploring the woods, making dens and running wild. Instead children are content to watch films or play games whereby the heroes or heroines fight exciting battles with dread foes, explore strange realms and accomplish deeds both daring and bold.
Exhilarating action, mystery, magic and knee quaking scares go part and parcel with our events.
